He recently won the 2026 Red Bull Genova Cerro Abajo, an urban downhill race through Genova, Italia, sealing wins in back-to-back years.

It wasn’t just that Vieira won back-to-back Red Bull Genova Cerro Abajos, the footage you are about to see shows just how insanely technical, fast, and physics-defying of a run this was.

Roger Vieira Wins 2026 Red Bull Genova Cerro Abajo With Fastest Downhill Mountain Bike Run Ever

Red Bull Bike published helmet camera footage from Roger Vieira’s run at the Genova Cerro Abajo last week with a classic YouTube attention-grabbing headline of “The Fastest Downhill Run Ever | POV.” What, am I not going to click that? I’m no better than anyone else when it comes to falling for attention-grabbing headlines even if I’ve been writing them myself for my entire adult life.

So I click, expecting to be wowed, but I did not expect Roger’s ride from the Genova Cerro Abajo to be one of the sickest mountain biking runs I’ve ever seen in my entire life, and I’ve been to the Red Bull Rampage before! Roger’s winning time of 2:33.971 beat out Johannes Fischbach (Germany) who finished second with a time of 2:39.108. I’m fairly confident I only blinked twice in the two-and-a-half minutes of this footage. Check it out:

For comparison, Roger Vieira won the 2025 Genova Cerro Abajo in a time of 2:37.798. So he shaved just about 4 seconds off his winning time from last year en route to a course record. On top of that, he beat second place’s time from last year and he shaved multiple seconds off his qualification time of 2:36.735.

From Içara, Brasil, Roger is now the 2025 and 2026 Genova Cerro Abajo champ. He is also the 2024 Brazil National Champion in addition to winning 18 World Cup races so far in his career. If you are into mountain biking, or even just slightly interested by clips like the one above, you should toss him a follow on Instagram at @rogervieira8 because the videos he posts are truly wild.

Getty Image / Andy Buchanan / AFP / iStockphoto / faber1893 Red Bull Genova Cerro Abajo winner Roger…

[2
106,20847,5,20848,9098
post-30049","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-italy","tag-cycling","tag-extreme-sports","tag-italy","tag-mountain-biking","tag-outdoors
["GET
