Churchill is the sire of Niente Scuse | Coolmore<\/p>\n

The blue-and-orange silks of Mike Repole were carried by Easy Pisa (Blue Point)<\/a> to a first Italian victory in May, and Niente Scuse handed the operation its first Italian black-type win in the Listed Premio Giuseppe de Montel at Milan on Tuesday evening. Repole is best known as the owner of the late American champion and successful stallion Uncle Mo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sent off at 63\/25 as second favourite behind eventual fourth-place finisher Maurizio Acquaviva (Arizona), Niente Scuse defeated Tuttapposto (Space Blues) by two lengths in the 1400-metre contest to become his sire’s 40th stakes scorer. A winner of a debutante affair at Napoli on May 31, he doubled down in a conditions race over this course and distance on June 16.<\/p>\n

Bred by Ballyphilip Stud in Ireland, the son of Dubai Sunset (Pivotal) sold for 75,000gns to Repole Stable during Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale last autumn. By Churchill, he was one of four picked up at Book 2 by Repole\u2013Easy Pisa sold for 90,000gns from the Roundhill Stud draft.<\/p>\n

The third foal and third winner for his placed dam, Niente Scuse is a half-brother to Our Cody (Kodi Bear), who was second at listed level in Britain, as well as to a yearling filly by Blue Point. His granddam, Fading Light (King’s Best), was third twice in French Group 3s and produced a pair of Teofilo stakes winners in Fireglow and Afterglow. Saturday’s French Derby-winning G1 Eclipse Stakes hero Constitution<\/a> River (Wootton Bassett) is under the third dam, as is Coolmore stallion Camelot<\/a>.<\/p>\n
