\n\tThis is funny how this s\u2014t came about. So, I met Karbine at the gym, right? He might\u2019ve been like 17 at the time. And he was a fan of mine and he wanted buy a verse off me. He had bought a verse off me before, and I was like, \u201cI don\u2019t really wanna charge this kid.\u201d But he was like, \u201cI got the money, bro. I really want to do it.\u201d Because he makes albums himself.<\/p>\n
\n\tOkay, so he wanted to put you on a compilation that he was making beats for?<\/p>\n
\n\tYeah, that\u2019s how our relationship started. So, one day he hit me up and wanted to buy another verse for me. I\u2019m like, \u201cAlright,\u201d and he was like, \u201cYo, bro, I\u2019m paying you, alright.\u201d [Laughs.] So, I goes over there, he plays this beat, and at first, I just had a verse in my phone, but I felt like my verse didn\u2019t really match with what the beat was actually like. I could really do some fly s\u2014t to this beat.<\/p>\n
\n\tIt reminds me of a \u201990s summer kind of beat.<\/p>\n
\n\tThat\u2019s the type of s\u2014t he makes. All his beats sound New York Undercoverish.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt first, I didn\u2019t really have an idea. I swear to God, I was just playing around. I was not being serious at all. I was just f\u2014king around when I made the hook. All the little singy parts that you hear even in the beginning, that\u2019s just me being stupid. I was not being serious. This s\u2014t was a joke. But then I\u2019m like, \u201cOh, this s\u2014t sound fire. This s\u2014t is really dope. Keep this.\u201d <\/p>\n
\n\tBecause, at first, all I had was the hook and the little singy part in the beginning, and I\u2019m like, \u201cYou know what? I\u2019m gonna make a song to this.\u201d So, I wrote that song on the spot and was like, \u201cYou know what, bro? You ain\u2019t even gotta pay me for this.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tI\u2019m like, \u201cYou don\u2019t even have to pay me for this. I wanna keep this and put this on my album.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis was before I even started making this. It was just a song, but I knew I had to work on a new album eventually. This was like at the end of Trainspotting. This was like last summer. I\u2019m like, \u201cYeah. Whatever the next album I\u2019m working on is, this is a song that\u2019s going on.<\/p>\n
\n\tWas this one of the first of his beats that made it onto one of your projects?<\/p>\n
\n\tYeah, because the last project I made before I met him was the s\u2014t with Conductor, so I really wasn\u2019t making albums with multiple producers on them at once. But after that, I was like, \u201cF\u2014k it, let\u2019s keep making more s\u2014t,\u201d and now he\u2019s part of my team, he\u2019s one of my BadInfluenyce producers or whatever. It\u2019s so crazy because he made that beat when he was like 15. He\u2019s like, \u201cYo, I made this beat mad long ago. This s\u2014t is hard,\u201d and I was like, \u201cWatch. This song\u2019s gonna be crack.\u201d And it\u2019s a song that everybody loves. <\/p>\n
\n\tMe and him got so much more s\u2014t. There was another song that I made that was supposed to be on the album too, but we didn\u2019t put it on because his sound is so unique that you don\u2019t actually need to hear it twice. It stands out way more like that because if you you put two on the same project, then iyou\u2019re gonna give people something to compare it to. So, now they\u2019ll be ready for when we drop more because we\u2019ve got tons of music that made already.<\/p>\n
