If you ever need proof that a couple can stay just as mushily in love as they were at the beginning for nearly three decades, David and Victoria Beckham are here to provide it. A month after they celebrated 27 years of marriage (with very romantic messages to each other shared online<\/a>), the Beckhams have continued their lovefest with a trip to Portofino, where they stayed at the exact hotel they booked 29 years ago, when they had just begun dating. <\/p>\n

That would be romantic enough in itself. David shared a video filming Victoria from behind and admiring her as she walked, writing in the caption: \u201829 years ago, we came to Portofino to this hotel before anyone knew we were dating and here we are back again.\u2019<\/p>\n

But what\u2019s even sweeter? The fact that the couple are back to their preferred way to do PDA: matchy-matchy dressing. <\/p>\n

Cast your mind back over the decades and you\u2019ll remember the early days of David and Victoria, when they were known as Posh and Becks and had a real penchant for coordinating their outfits. There was the iconic matching leather Gucci pairing in 1999 (which Victoria later described as \u2018bizarre\u2019 but \u2018sweet\u2019), their statement royal purple satin suit and dress for their wedding, all-white ensembles for the 2003 MTV Movie Awards, and many, many coordinating denim looks in between. <\/p>\n

Returning to 2026, the pair have brought back dressing the same on their Italy trip. Take a look at their brown outfits below \u2013 it\u2019s like we\u2019re back in the 2000s with Posh and Becks all over again. <\/p>\n

They were at it earlier on in their Portofino vacation, too, wearing coordinating navy looks for Victoria\u2019s fragrance pop-up. <\/p>\n

And before that, for their wedding anniversary in July, the couple matched in light blue. The couple even noted their love of matching, with Victoria writing at the time: \u2018After 27 years of marriage, four amazing children and countless matching outfits, you\u2019re still my *everything*. Happy anniversary!! I love you so much.\u2019<\/p>\n

What can we learn from these two? One: that throwing it back to past memories is a lovely way to keep the spark alive, whether that\u2019s boomeranging back to your first holiday destination or bringing back your preferred form of affection from the early days of your relationship. Two: the couple that plans their outfits together, stays together.
