ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) – An Elkhart pizza chef is back home after winning a world title in Italy, and she is sharing her award-winning recipe with local diners.<\/p>\n
Carmela Cataldo Williams, co-owner of Antonio\u2019s Italian Ristorante, won first place in the Traditional American Division at the 2026 Caputo Cup in Naples, Italy in June.<\/p>\n

Her trip started out as a nightmare when her key ingredients were seized at the airport.<\/p>\n Faced with a major setback on the international stage, Williams adapted by sourcing all of her ingredients locally in Italy.
