Work on the Direttissima covered the section between Chiusi and Orvieto, including the Fabro tunnel and the Paglia viaduct<\/a> near Orvieto. More than 80 technicians from RFI and its contractors were deployed at the sites each day, supported by work trains and construction equipment.
