Photo: Gruppo FS Italiane \/ FS News<br \/>\nWorks on the Florence\u2013Rome line<\/p>\n<p>Work on the Direttissima covered the section between Chiusi and Orvieto, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rfi.it\/it\/rete\/i-nostri-progetti\/principali-interventi-lavori-programmati\/direttissima-roma---firenze.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fabro tunnel and the Paglia viaduct<\/a> near Orvieto. More than 80 technicians from RFI and its contractors were deployed at the sites each day, supported by work trains and construction equipment. The investment amounted to approximately \u20ac5 million.<\/p>\n<p>On the conventional line, separate extraordinary maintenance covered the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rfi.it\/it\/rete\/i-nostri-progetti\/I-nostri-progetti-regione-per-regione\/toscana.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Riomaggiore railway bridge between Chiusi and Panicale<\/a>, along with the second platform canopy at Chiusi-Chianciano Terme station. More than 30 technicians worked on these sites each day, supported by work trains and operational equipment. Around \u20ac1 million was invested in the works.<\/p>\n<p>RFI said the works had been scheduled during the summer to minimise the impact on mobility:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe works were scheduled during the summer to minimise the impact on mobility. The objective is to increase the reliability of the infrastructure and the regularity of rail traffic.
