\u201cIf Antonio asked me, I think I\u2019d say yes,\u201d De Laurentiis told reporters (via Gazzetta<\/a>) in Los Angeles, where the documentary on Napoli\u2019s fourth Scudetto premiered on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut given that he [Conte] is very intelligent, until there isn\u2019t a serious interlocutor and, until now, there haven\u2019t been many, he\u2019d resist imagining himself as the chief of something that is entirely disorganised,\u201d ADL added.<\/p>\n

Conte has emerged as one of the leading candidates to become the new Italy national team coach.<\/p>\n

However, the FIGC won\u2019t hire a replacement for Gennaro Gattuso until the end of June, given that a new President will be elected on June 22.<\/p>\n

FIGC President Gabriele Gravina resigned following Italy\u2019s World Cup play-off elimination last week, and so did coach Gattuso.<\/p>\n

The Azzurri will play two friendly games in June and will be led by a caretaker coach, likely Silvio Baldini, for those matches.<\/a><\/p>\n
