Thieves stole three paintings by French masters Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul C\u00e9zanne, and Henri Matisse from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.magnanirocca.it\/en\/magnani-rocca-the-villa-of-masterpieces\/\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.magnanirocca.it\/en\/magnani-rocca-the-villa-of-masterpieces\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"Magnani Rocca Foundation\" data-node-id=\"0.1\" class=\"body-link css-wwtvcb emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Magnani Rocca Foundation<\/a>, a private museum near Parma in northern Italy. The stolen works are Les Poissons (1917) by Renoir, Still Life With Cherries by C\u00e9zanne, and Odalisque on the Terrace by Matisse. This was the 1917 version.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"2\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">According to the Foundation, per the Italian newspaper <a href=\"https:\/\/corrieredibologna.corriere.it\/notizie\/cronaca\/26_marzo_29\/quadro-renoir-rubato-les-poissons-afef91b0-9bd9-405c-90ad-65aea7106xlk.shtml\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/corrieredibologna.corriere.it\/notizie\/cronaca\/26_marzo_29\/quadro-renoir-rubato-les-poissons-afef91b0-9bd9-405c-90ad-65aea7106xlk.shtml\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"Il Corriere della Sera\" data-node-id=\"2.1\" class=\"body-link css-wwtvcb emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Il Corriere della Sera<\/a>, the theft occurred overnight between Sunday, March 22 and Monday, March 23, and the entire job only lasted three minutes. The thieves allegedly forced open an entrance door, triggering the alarm and prompting the group to flee across the museum gardens. The museum told the newspaper that it believes a structured, organized gang was likely responsible based on internal video surveillance footage. The hooded thieves, caught on camera, were able to remove the paintings and escape before authorities arrived.
