
The Pokémon Company has officially revealed that the highly anticipated grand reopening of Pokémon Cafe Tokyo will take place this summer, bringing a fresh new look to the popular Nihonbashi dining spot.
This exciting announcement will surely thrill local fans and tourists who have missed the immersive dining experience since the eatery closed its doors for extensive renovations back on March 23, 2026.

The cafe management has explicitly stated that the venue will operate strictly by advance web reservation upon returning, meaning day-of walk-ins will not be accommodated in order to avoid crowding outside the store.
Operating hours have been slightly adjusted for the return, with the newly renovated location opening from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, and last food and drink orders taken at 8:30 PM.

Fans should also note that it is perfectly fine to visit the venue strictly to purchase exclusive merchandise without needing a booking.
Alongside the fresh interior updates, the cafe’s menu will undergo a massive overhaul that will see several classic dishes permanently discontinued.

These sweeping menu changes will officially take effect at both the Tokyo and Osaka locations starting Sunday, June 7, 2026.
A few surviving menu items will also see price adjustments implemented across both branches.
The standard “Gengar’s Confuse Ray Smoothie” will increase to 1,265 yen (approx. $8 USD / £6 GBP), while the version including a souvenir glass will be adjusted to 2,255 yen (approx. $15 USD / £11 GBP).
Specific details regarding any potential new features or fresh menu items arriving with the renovation will be shared at a later date.
Pokémon Cafe Tokyo will officially reopen on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, with the updated menu pricing set to take effect from this date at all branches.
Fans eagerly waiting to secure a table should prepare their schedules, as online reservation slots will reopen on Sunday, May 17, at 18:00 JST.
This initial booking wave will specifically cover dates from the grand reopening through Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
