Falcom has released a new trailer for. Rurui, a character from their upcoming game Kyoto Xanadu. The title is set to release in Japan for Nintendo Switch 2, and Switch on July 16, 2026. A western release is also in the works.
Kyoto Xanadu is the series’ next game following Tokyo Xanadu. In the action RPG, players will dive deep in a labyrinth beneath Kyoto, Japan to overcome the monsters and mysteries.
Here’s a short description of the Rurui, translation courtesy of Gematsu:
A mysterious girl encounters in the labyrinth. She speaks in a unique, hesitant manner and has a striking presence. Though she appears to be around 10 years old, her true age is unknown.
She is elusive and sometimes shows up at Rei’s house out of nowhere, or suddenly joins the team while exploring the great labyrinth.
She has no grasp of ordinary social conventions, and her thoughts are difficult to read, but she possesses a hearty appetite and will eat just about anything.
