As a Japanese brand, it’s expected that some of Casio‘s models, especially the limited-edition or collaborative ones, are made exclusive to the country. However, some of the pieces that start out as Japan exclusives get a greater global release: this time, two of the newest G-Shock models, unveiled at the end of last month, are confirmed to hit stores outside of Japan.

The G-Shock x XG GMAS110XG-4A and the GMS5600XG-1 have been officially announced for US release, listed on Casio‘s official US store. The two watches are a collaboration line with J-Pop group XG, who have been ambassadors for G-Shock since July of last year.

Casio’s G-Shock GMS5600XG-1 is a rectangular piece with a black ion-plated stainless steel bezel, and a rainbow vapour deposition glass around its dark-background digital display. Contrasting that bold rainbow face is a matte black resin case and strap.

Meanwhile, GMAS110XG-4A is a digital-analogue hybrid watch with a speed indicator dials and two digital displays (one for day of the week and the other with the time). It features a hot pink resin casing and strap, with a glittered dial.

The two pieces boast a similar set of features: support for world time, a stopwatch, a timer, an alarm (multiple for the GMAS110XG-4A), and 200 meters of water resistance.

Currently a specific release date for the US market has not been confirmed, but the two watches have both been listed on the website. Given that they’re due for a 12 June release in Japan, it’s likely that they’ll be out in the US soon after. They are priced at $20 and $280, for the GMS5600XG-1 andGMAS110XG-4A, respectively.
