Matcha drinks, parfait and soft serve from Japan’s leading matcha café company have officially landed in New England.

Nana’s Green Tea, Tokyo’s top-rated matcha café brand, soft opened at 175 Newbury St. in Boston on Tuesday.

The cafe will host its grand opening Friday, during which the first 50 guests in line will get a special gift while supplies last.

“We look forward to sharing authentic Japanese tea culture and the spirit of omotenashi with the Boston community,” Nana’s Green Tea wrote in an Instagram post.

The opening marks the seventh U.S. location for Nana’s Green Tea and second on the East Coast.

The matcha brand also operates in New York City, New York; Pasadena, California; Seattle, Washington; Bellevue, Washington; Las Vegas, Nevada and Honolulu, Hawaii.

Just like its other locations, the Boston location offers Nana’s handcrafted matcha beverages and signature parfaits, which are hard to find in Boston.

Standout options include the Matcha Chocolate Crunch Frappe, Matcha Mochi Parfait and Matcha Soft Serve with Warabimochi.

Nana’s Green Tea in Boston is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Founded in Tokyo in 2001, Nana’s Green Tea puts modern twists on traditional Japanese food culture. The brand offers matcha and green tea-inspired drinks, desserts and meals made with carefully selected ingredients from Japan.
