Osaka Electro-Communication University is home to many students striving to become next-generation creators and dedicated to game development.
The Saiga NAK editorial team interviewed professors and students during theTokyo Game Show2024 and 2025 and was amazed by their passion for games and the high quality of their work.

Now, Osaka Electro-Communication University has decided to launch a hands-on educational program in collaboration with Capcom, targeting students in the Department of Digital Games and the Department of Games & Media within the Faculty of Integrated Information Studies, as well as those in the Digital Games Course of the Graduate School of Integrated Information Studies!
This initiative will provide students with a valuable opportunity to acquire advanced technical skills and development processes relevant to real-world work, while receiving direct guidance from professional creators active on the front lines of the industry.

Within the limited timeframe of approximately two weeks, students will gain end-to-end experience—from game concept planning and implementation to receiving feedback from professionals.

Notably, Capcom alumnus Masaru Ijuin was involved in the development of “RE ENGINE,” and a special session with faculty members who are former Capcom employees is scheduled to take place during the Open Campus event on August 22, 2026.
