By blending ASICS’ deep Japanese performance roots with the raw energy and effortless attitude of New York City streets, the collection highlights how footwear culture continues to evolve through shared influence.
Classic Runners, Reimagined for the Street
The collection focuses on two archival models that have seamlessly transitioned from technical running tech into everyday lifestyle staples:
ASICS GEL-1130: Rooted in late-2000s running design, this model brings retro stability and lightweight breathability to city pavement.
ASICS GEL-CUMULUS 16: Built with signature GEL cushioning and detailed technical paneling, this silhouette delivers equal parts nostalgia and modern street style.
Rather than a single drop, the color stories are rolling out in distinct phases. The initial men’s release introduces grounded, industrial tones like Black / Jungle on the GEL-1130 ($110) alongside metallic accents on the Jungle / Pure Silver GEL-CUMULUS 16 ($150).
Following the initial release, a second wave scheduled for September will introduce vibrant Cream / Murasaki colorways across women’s sizing for both models ($110 for the GEL-1130 and $160 for the GEL-CUMULUS 16).
