Ankara, Turkey – September 28, 2026 – DEPERSON, the surreal psychological horror adventure from independent developer Error Thing and publisher PARCO GAMES, made its Tokyo Game Show 2026 debut as part of PARCO GAMES’ lineup.

The Tokyo Game Show appearance follows a busy run of showcases for DEPERSON, including The MIX Fall Showcase in Seattle and Game Devs of Color Expo, alongside recognition at international events including a Best Visuals nomination at the Gamescom Awards 2026 and a Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026 nomination for Excellence in Art.

“We’re three friends trying to make our dream game, and it has been a wild ride,” said Error Thing. “DEPERSON started with a few sketches, then grew into years of work from our families’ homes. Seeing it get nominated at Gamescom and shown at Tokyo Game Show feels completely unreal. We’re so incredibly grateful to the community, their support has made this journey mean even more to us.”

DEPERSON is a psychological horror adventure that follows Aaron through the harsh world of Indrija, where uncovering the truth means confronting himself. A search for answers soon becomes a self-reflective journey into his identity and memories. As players help Aaron navigate a world bound by strict rules and an increasingly unstable reality, the choices made will shape what happens next. Will you build him or break him?

Gameplay blends classic point-and-click adventure design with environmental puzzles, platforming, and character-specific abilities. Players can shape Aaron through their decisions, affecting both his path and the people around him, with multiple endings waiting at the end of the journey.

DEPERSON is coming to Steam in Q2 2027.
