This year, however, featured an extra special show in the heart of Tokyo, where an astonishing array of Porsches took center stage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"transition-colors motion-reduce:transition-none typography-body2 md:typography-body1 md:text-neutral-2 dark:md:text-neutral-6 text-neutral-2 dark:text-neutral-6\" data-ids=\"Typography\" data-component=\"TextElement\" data-nitrous-content-readable-section=\"true\">For the first time ever, <a class=\"transition-colors motion-reduce:transition-none underline dark:hover:text-primary-3 hover:text-primary-2 visited:text-[inherit]\" data-ids=\"Link\" data-id=\"text-insert-link\" data-parent=\"ymm-capsule-review-text-element\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.motortrend.com\/news\/luftgekuhlt-9-air-cooled-porsche-event-gallery\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Luftgek\u00fchlt\u2014the ever-growing series of events celebrating all things air-cooled Porsche<\/a>\u2014landed in Japan, taking over the now-decommissioned KK Line, an elevated stretch of highway that once connected Tokyo\u2019s Kyobashi and Shimbashi districts, for a one-day celebration of German air-cooled Porsche culture, Japanese style. One standout was the No. 28 Porsche 910, driven by Tetsu Ikuzawa, which finished second overall and first in class at the 1968 Japanese Grand Prix. But if street cars are your thing, the Auto Garage TBK demo car was probably the car to see. What started as a clean, almost gallery-like show slowly transitioned into the kind of underground after-dark experience only Tokyo could provide.
