The financial development and promotional bodies in the European state and Japanese metropolis have agreed to cooperate on areas including knowledge exchange and a “central focus” on decarbonisation.\t \t \t <\/p>\n
\n Tokyo and Luxembourg have agreed to co-operate more closely
\n against a volatile geopolitical background, digital
\n transformation in financial services and capital needs for
\n decarbonisation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The financial development and promotional agencies for Luxembourg
\n and Tokyo have signed a memorandum of understanding. It was
\n signed in late April by Hiroshi Nakaso (right in the photo),
\n chairman of FinCity.Tokyo, and Tom Th\u00e9obald (left in the photo),
\n CEO of Luxembourg for Finance. The signing took place during
\n SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026, a startup conference.<\/p>\n
The agreement establishes a framework for closer cooperation in
\n financial promotion activities, including joint events, bilateral
\n visits, and knowledge exchange.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The pact is between Japan\u2019s high concentration financial
\n institutions, technology firms, investment firms and startups,
\n and Luxembourg\u2019s cross-border fund distribution, banking and
\n investment capabilities.<\/p>\n
The cooperation will have a \u201ccentral focus\u201d on using capital to
\n achieve a reduction in carbon emissions to fit with Net Zero
\n ambitions, a statement from the organisations said.\u00a0
