Japanese manufacturers, such as Murata Production Company, Kyocera, and Omron, are also riding a silent warm breeze. They are responsible for key components and equipment in the global semiconductor supply chain.

Murata Production Company is the strongest in the sensor market, with multilayer ceramic capacitors, advanced ceramics called Kyocera, and Omron. Another thing in common is that it is headquartered in Kyoto, the Japanese capital for 1,200 years. Kyoto companies are steadily growing regardless of the U.S.-China hegemony competition, geopolitical conflicts, and U.S. President Donald Trump’s protruding moves. Apple’s iPhone 17, which was launched last year, has as many as 1,282 Japanese parts. The gap is still wide from Korea’s 475.

Apple’s core partners are TDK, Murata Manufacturing Co., and Kyocera, one of Japan’s top three parts makers. There are two headquarters in Kyoto except TDK. Shiro Sakushima, president of Kyocera, said, “Customers who stopped trading due to a surge in demand for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and AI packages are also ordering products again.” Kyoto’s status in Japanese corporate culture, which emphasizes “Monozukuri (artisan spirit), is unique. Compared to Tokyo, which is centered on large corporations, the size of companies based in Kyoto is relatively small. It has focused on materials, parts, and equipment rather than fancy finished products.Major companies called the “Kyoto Eight” have recently broken their market capitalization records one after another.

[Kyoto correspondent Lee Seunghoon]

#

Murata Manufacturing Co.

MLCC

Japanese Manufacturing Co.

Local Repo

aristocratic culture

artificial intelligence

stacked ceramic capacitors

Samsung Electronics Co.

Hynix

Inamori

Library

Honorary Chairman

Managers

Software

Hardware

Kyoto Corporation

Ant Investor

사진 확대 Gemini It is not only Korean companies that have been on the rise in the semiconductor…

[5
8,151
0":"post-19159","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-kyoto","8":"tag-japan","9":"tag-kyoto
["GET
