Ukrainian officials reported on Sunday Russian drone strikes and \u2060nearly 150 battlefield clashes over the past 24 hours despite a U.S.-brokered ceasefire between Kyiv and Moscow. U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that Russia and Ukraine had agreed \u200bto a three-day ceasefire from May 9 \u200cto May 11, \u200cas a broader peace effort \u200bto end the more than four-year-old war has stalled.<\/p>\n
One person was killed and three people were wounded in Russian \u2060strikes on Ukraine’s southeastern Zaporizhzhia region, Gov. Ivan Fedorov said \u2060on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
In the northeastern Kharkiv region, Gov. Oleh Syniehubov said eight people including two \u200bchildren were wounded \u2060in drone attacks on the regional capital and nearby settlements.<\/p>\n
Seven people including a \u2060child were wounded \u200bin the southern Kherson region by \u200bRussian drone and artillery strikes since early Saturday, regional \u200bGov. \u200cOleksandr Prokudin said on Sunday.<\/p>\n
A child was also wounded and infrastructure damaged in Russian attacks on the southeastern Dnipropetrovsk region, said regional head Oleksandr Hanzha.<\/p>\n
Separately, \u200cKyiv’s air force said Russia had launched 27 long-range drones at Ukraine overnight \u2014 a lower number than usual \u2014 but that air defenses had downed all of them.<\/p>\n
In its \u200bmorning \u200breport, Ukraine’s General Staff said 147 clashes \u200bhad taken place along the front line.<\/p>\n
Despite the \u2060reports, Ukrainian officials have not publicly commented on any violations of the U.S.-brokered ceasefire, which was also meant to include a swap of 1,000 prisoners \u200bof war from each side.<\/p>\n
