champions <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"9e775b11-9fbd-ae9c-d590-9d3e892188f7\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/soccer\/team?id=4398\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Qatar<\/a> in the 2027 <a data-league-guid=\"0bbdbf8e-c300-3fc7-90cc-2a45de145ee4\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/soccer\/league\/_\/name\/AFC.ASIAN.CUP\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">AFC Asian Cup<\/a> in Saudi Arabia, after the draw in Riyadh on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Qatar were drawn \u200balongside Japan in Group F, in a \u200brepeat of the 2019 final in the United Arab Emirates, which the Qataris won before retaining the title at the 2023 edition on home soil.<\/p>\n<p>Group F is rounded out by South East Asian teams <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"618363a0-95f8-716b-1830-d517e8edaa46\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/soccer\/team?id=4396\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Thailand<\/a> and <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"d62c3915-1dcf-387b-63ec-8c4a0e00e271\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/soccer\/team?id=4895\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Indonesia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Japan are the most successful team in men&#8217;s AFC Asian Cup history, winning a record four titles (1992, 2000, 2004, 2011) and finishing runners-up in 2019.<\/p>\n<p><a data-clubhouse-guid=\"a0bc2139-6270-6732-54a7-a49929b07c85\" 11, but it \u200bwas postponed because of the Middle East \u200bconflict to ensure full attendance and participation from \u2060all concerned parties, national associations and
