Minoru \u2060Kihara, Japan&#8217;s most senior government spokesperson, described the incident \u2060on Tuesday as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.japantimes.co.jp\/news\/2026\/03\/25\/japan\/crime-legal\/tokyo-china-embassy-break-in\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">regrettable<\/a> and said the government would take measures to \u200bprevent any recurrence.<\/p>\n<p>The incident threatens to exacerbate Sino-Japanese ties.
