Iconic Nissans, the Skyline GT-R chief among them, have long been popular there, in part because they were sold new rather than arriving as grey imports the way they did in the US. With that history in mind, it makes sense that Australia is about to become one of the first countries outside Japan to host its own Nismo Performance Centers.

The first of these centers will open in the second half of 2026 at Nissan Ferntree Gully, a dealership located roughly 45 minutes southeast of Melbourne’s CBD. The site will function as a direct line to Nismo’s famed Omori Factory in Japan, offering access to heritage parts, restoration services, and the kind of factory-level expertise that has been almost impossible to source locally.

Read: This Is What Nissan’s $400K Restoration Of An R32 Skyline GT-R Looks Like

Nissan plans to open up several other Nismo locations across Australia, including in Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth.
