Nismo Performance Centers are launching outside Japan for the first time.<\/p>\n

Australia gets the launch market, with the first center near Melbourne.<\/p>\n

Factory-certified Nismo technicians will service R32, R33, and R34 Skylines.<\/p>\n

Few markets outside Japan have embraced Nissan\u2019s performance heritage quite like Australia. Iconic Nissans, the Skyline GT-R chief among them, have long been popular there, in part because they were sold new rather than arriving as grey imports the way they did in the US. With that history in mind, it makes sense that Australia is about to become one of the first countries outside Japan to host its own Nismo Performance Centers.<\/p>\n

The first of these centers will open in the second half of 2026 at Nissan Ferntree Gully, a dealership located roughly 45 minutes southeast of Melbourne\u2019s CBD. The site will function as a direct line to Nismo\u2019s famed Omori Factory in Japan, offering access to heritage parts<\/a>, restoration services, and the kind of factory-level expertise that has been almost impossible to source locally.<\/p>\n

Nissan plans to open up several other Nismo<\/a> locations across Australia, including in Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth. The facilities will employ factory-certified Nismo master technicians with experience working on some of the brand\u2019s most iconic models, including the R32, R33, and R34 Skyline GT-Rs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

These centers will provide support for iconic Nissan models that have lived their whole lives in Australia, and also for those privately imported from Japan by enthusiasts. Sourcing re-manufactured parts for these cars should now be easier than ever.<\/p>\n

Nissan<\/a> announced its local Nismo Performance Centers during the annual GT-R Festival at Sydney Dragway over the weekend. President and chief executive of Nissan Motorsports & Customizing, as well as the global head of the Nismo brand, Yutaka Sanada, attended the event.<\/p>\n
