Tokyo Electron (TEL), a global leader in semiconductor equipment, said Monday it has been selected as the winner of the “AI Semiconductor Manufacturing Solution of the Year” category at the 9th Artificial Intelligence (AI) Breakthrough Awards.<\/p>\n

Tokyo Electron earned international recognition for its technology to produce the high-performance, low-power semiconductors essential for large-scale AI computing. Its 3D integration (3DI) technology, which precisely stacks logic and memory vertically to dramatically increase data bandwidth while reducing power consumption, was cited as a key achievement. The company also drew high marks for introducing AI into the manufacturing process itself to boost yield and mass-production speed.<\/p>\n

“By bringing together our front-end and back-end capabilities into one, we will accelerate the evolution of 3DI and support next-generation semiconductor innovation,” Tokyo Electron Senior Executive Vice President Hiroshi Ishida stressed. Steve Johansson, managing director of organizer AI Breakthrough, praised the company, saying, “As semiconductor miniaturization hits physical limits, Tokyo Electron’s 3DI technology is newly building the foundation for AI performance innovation.”<\/p>\n
