Naruto is expanding its live entertainment lineup with Ninja Show: Naruto, a new non-verbal ninja live show set to run at Kyoto\u2019s Minamiza Theater from February until June 2027. A teaser visual and announcement trailer have also been released alongside the project\u2019s first cast and staff details.<\/p>\n

Unlike previous Naruto stage adaptations, Ningeki Ninja Show: Naruto will tell its story without spoken dialogue, relying instead on live action, martial arts choreography, acrobatics, aerial performance, projection mapping, illusion effects, and Minamiza\u2019s traditional Kabuki stage mechanisms to bring the series\u2019 signature ninja techniques to life. The production aims to create an experience that can be enjoyed by audiences regardless of language.<\/p>\n

The show will adapt the original Naruto story, following Naruto Uzumaki\u2019s early journey as he grows alongside his teammates in the Hidden Leaf Village.<\/p>\n

Yuri Takahashi and Ryuma Aoi will alternate in the role of Naruto Uzumaki, with REI as Sasuke Uchiha, Yui Oikawa as Sakura Haruno, and HIROMA as Kakashi Hatake.<\/p>\n

The production is directed by Go Ueki, whose previous stage work includes Attack on Titan: The Musical and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. Shinjiro Kameda is handling composition, while Neil Dorward is credited as International Creative Consultant.<\/p>\n

According to the production committee, the show combines Japan\u2019s theatrical traditions with modern stage technology, positioning the project as a new tourism attraction in Kyoto while showcasing the global appeal of Naruto through a dialogue-free format.<\/p>\n

Naruto\u00a0is a manga written by Masashi Kishimoto. It began serialization in Shueisha\u2019s Weekly Shonen Jump in September 1999 and ran for 15 years until November 2014, ending with a total of 72 volumes. Studio Pierrot animated the anime adaptation, which premiered in October 2002 and ran for 220 episodes. The anime was followed by a sequel titled\u00a0Naruto Shippuden, which ran for 500 episodes.<\/p>\n

There is also the sequel\u00a0Boruto: Naruto Next Generations\u00a0manga, originally written by Ukyo Kodachi. Masashi Kishimoto later took over the story, which has illustrations by Mikio Ikimoto. The manga started in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2016 but moved to V Jump in 2019.<\/p>\n

Part 2 of the manga titled\u00a0Boruto: Two Blue Vortex<\/a>\u00a0began in August 2023. The\u00a0Boruto: Naruto Next Generations\u00a0anime adaptation began broadcasting in April 2017, while the anime went on\u00a0a break<\/a>\u00a0in March 2023. A 4-episode special was originally scheduled to broadcast for 4 consecutive weeks from September 3, 2023, but was\u00a0delayed to \u2018improve quality.\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n

A new NARUTO Card Game TCG was also recently announced<\/a> for 2027.<\/p>\n
