With only a day\u2019s notice to prepare, each contestant had ten days to discover a compelling story and create a short film, which will be judged by a panel of experts.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/news\/2026-07-06\/race-around-the-world-documentary-wrap\/106727940\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ABC News<\/a>, this week\u2019s films highlight diverse aspects of Japanese culture and communities. Notable titles include \u2018Woman V Bidet,\u2019 where Lucinda explores Japan\u2019s advanced toilet technology, and \u2018Forgotten Osaka,\u2019 where Elliot delves into the misunderstood Airin District, known for its struggles with homelessness and addiction.<\/p>\n<p>Other filmmakers have also presented intriguing narratives. Kate\u2019s film, \u2018Heaven is filled with femboys and cross-dressers,\u2019 captures the experiences of men in Japan embracing femininity. Mikaela\u2019s \u2018Imitations\u2019 questions the nature of imitation in Japanese culture, while William\u2019s \u2018It\u2019s just content\u2019 investigates a rare book found in a Tokyo shop. Jayden\u2019s \u2018Dear Sinea\u2019 features a poignant letter from a traditional Japanese Ama diver\u2019s daughter.<\/p>\n<p>Viewers are encouraged to participate by selecting their favorite film from this week\u2019s lineup. The poll will close on Friday, July 10, at 4:00 PM.
