{"id":56542,"date":"2026-07-11T02:25:10","date_gmt":"2026-07-11T02:25:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/japan\/56542\/"},"modified":"2026-07-11T02:25:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-11T02:25:10","slug":"japanese-government-to-work-with-industry-and-academia-on-dual-use-tech","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/japan\/56542\/","title":{"rendered":"Japanese government to work with industry and academia on dual-use tech"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Japan is set to advance collaboration with the public sector, academia and industries on research and development for dual-use technologies.<\/p>\n<p>At a meeting Friday of the Council for Science, Technology and Innovation, the government adopted an integrated innovation strategy, which includes a policy to accelerate such three-way cooperation to build foundations for defense-related research at universities and national institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The strategy calls for \u201corganic links\u201d between scientific technology and national security.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, research bases will be established outside universities by fiscal 2030 to gather a wide range of researchers from various institutions.
