\nSeiko Solutions Corp.<\/p>\n

Seiko Solutions Corp. and T Stamp Inc., which operates as TrustStamp, have agreed to study system integration for a facial recognition service in Japan and started a joint project aimed at a full rollout during fiscal 2026, according to a statement released on July 14.<\/p>\n

The companies plan to advance practical use of facial recognition-based authentication for a range of applications, including admission authentication in entertainment venues, fraud prevention in financial and payment services, and identity verification for online services.<\/p>\n

Seiko Solutions, based in Chiba, will use TrustStamp’s facial recognition technology while taking part in its authentication center business and developing part of the operational systems for companies adopting the facial recognition service in Japan. The authentication center will provide identity verification functions based on facial recognition as a shared platform.<\/p>\n

The service will perform matching without retaining image data itself, as the companies seek to balance personal information protection and convenience.<\/p>\n

The solution has already been tested at an actual event, where pre-registered facial data was matched with facial data collected from attendees on the day. The trial confirmed that facial recognition and check-in functions could operate together without problems, and the companies are continuing development toward a broader launch in fiscal 2026.<\/p>\n

TrustStamp is a U.S. technology company focused on digital identity and biometric authentication. It is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, was founded in 2016, and has 90 employees. The company is listed on Nasdaq under the ticker IDAI.<\/p>\n

Demand for digital identity verification has grown as non-face-to-face transactions expand across financial and other online services.
