Mitch Evans says he is determined to reverse fortunes that have gone \u201cin the wrong direction\u201d after a disastrous run through Formula E\u2019s China rounds cost him the championship lead.<\/p>\n

The Jaguar TCS Racing driver spoke to RacingNews365 as he prepares for the season\u2019s Tokyo double-header, having arrived in China with a commanding advantage before a non-start in Shanghai turned into a title warning for the team<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wehrlein Seizes Control After Evans\u2019 China Nightmare<\/p>\n

Evans entered the Sanya E-Prix with a 19-point lead but failed to score after Dan Ticktum launched over the back of his Jaguar. He then fell to eighth in the first Shanghai race after reporting a grip issue as Pascal Wehrlein won to cut the gap to three points<\/a>, before a suspected DC\/DC fault ruled him out of the second Shanghai race entirely, handing Wehrlein a nine-point championship lead.<\/p>\n

Now second in the standings with four rounds remaining, Evans insisted no major changes were needed. \u201cI don\u2019t think we really need to change anything, to be honest,\u201d he said. \u201cA lot of it has been out of our control, but actually I think we\u2019ve been pretty quick, apart from the wet in Shanghai.\u201d<\/p>\n
