Critics say that job hunting is starting earlier and that recruitment rules are becoming a mere formality.<\/p>\n<p>Job information company Mynavi held a job fair in Tokyo for science and engineering students that brought together more than 60 companies, including Honda Motor and air conditioner maker Daikin Industries.<\/p>\n<p>A third-year national university student participating in the event has already received an informal job offer, according to the student. &#8220;I feel I have a wide range of options. I&#8217;m paying close attention to benefit packages and work locations,&#8221; the student said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Demand for science and engineering students is very high,&#8221; said Makoto Takahashi, editor in chief of Mynavi.<\/p>\n<p>According to a survey of about 950 people conducted by human resources company Indeed Recruit Partners, 32.8% of students graduating in spring 2027 had received informal job offers by Feb. 1.
