Oliver Bearman<\/a> explained how he felt physically days after his crash at the Japanese Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

The British youngster was involved in a heavy incident at the Suzuka Circuit. Bearman ran onto the grass while taking evasive action behind Franco Colapinto\u2019s Alpine. As a result, he lost control of his car and hit the barrier hard. He was also seen limping off the track after getting out of the car.<\/p>\n

“Yeah, I’m all good,” Bearman began to SportBible weeks after his crash.<\/p>\n

“It was a tough travel just because obviously after that, I wasn’t moving very much.<\/p>\n

“I had a bit of swelling on the knee, but everything’s okay now, luckily, it was the right knee so I was okay.”<\/p>\n

He added that soon after, he was already working: “Actually, I was back driving on the simulator by Wednesday or Thursday, because my brother and I were practicing for an endurance race on the weekend.<\/p>\n

“It could have been a lot worse. So very, very thankful and looking forward to getting back out in Miami.”<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Up To Speed podcast, Bearman criticised the Argentinian for moving across him prior to the corner, a move he may have got away with last season, but couldn’t thanks to how the new Formula 1 cars are.<\/p>\n

The Haas driver explained<\/a>: “I think it was something we spoke about on Friday, which is even a bit more of a frustrating thing. “Yeah, move to defend your position with a bit more time because the speed deltas are much higher than we\u2019ve ever had in our sport and then two days later that happens which for me was unacceptable.”<\/p>\n

Bearman has enjoyed a positive start to the season despite his heavy crash in Japan. The Briton is currently seventh in the standings with 17 points, sitting just behind drivers from the frontrunning teams.<\/p>\n
