It is to be installed at the Global Research and Development Center for Business by Quantum-AI Technology, known as G-QuAT, a research facility operated by AIST.<\/p>\n<p>Toyo signed a lease agreement with AIST on August 6 covering the installation site, and under that agreement the two sides agreed to place the IQM Radiance20 within G-QuAT. The system is scheduled to be delivered by IQM by the end of 2026, with operations set to begin in early 2027.<\/p>\n<p>After launch, the company plans to make the quantum computer available both on-premise and through cloud access, mainly for domestic companies and organizations, while also offering research and development opportunities to Japanese research institutes and universities. Toyo said the installation is intended to help generate use cases, promote joint research and support talent development in quantum technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Toyo had already decided in April 2026 to introduce the IQM Radiance20 and completed the purchase order with IQM as part of its quantum solutions business. The company distributes quantum computers under a sales agency agreement with IQM.<\/p>\n<p>AIST established G-QuAT in July 2023 as a research and development hub focused on the industrialization of quantum technology. The center promotes work combining quantum computing, artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, while working with universities, research institutions and companies in Japan and overseas.<\/p>\n<p>Japan has set policy targets for 2030 including 10 million domestic users of quantum technology and 50 trillion yen in production generated by quantum technology, according to the release, citing the Cabinet Office&#8217;s Quantum Future Society Vision. In Japan, such government policy targets are non-binding national goals used to guide industrial and research support.<\/p>\n<p>Toyo has been expanding its quantum-related business through distribution and product development.
