The wall is composed of layers of large rocks and smaller crumbling rocks. Scaffolding can be seen behind them, along with wires and nets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Construction of Space Mountain Earthrise also includes the creation of a new plaza in front of the attraction. Located in the heart of Tomorrowland, this area \u2014 a symbolic portrayal of mankind and nature existing in harmony \u2014 connects the Tomorrowland of the past and future. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Walt Disney Imagineering also revealed the <a href=\"https:\/\/wdwnt.com\/2026\/08\/ride-vehicles-models-new-concept-art-revealed-for-space-mountain-earthrise-at-tokyo-disney\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" aria-describedby=\"external-link-warning\">ride vehicles, models, and new concept art<\/a> for Space Mountain Earthrise at Tokyo Disneyland.<\/p>\n<p>Space Mountain Earthrise<a data-fslightbox=\"1\" data-type=\"image\" aria-label=\"Open fullscreen lightbox with current image\" href=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/japan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/tdr-tokyo-disneyland-space-mountain-earthrise-model-d23-4-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1440\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/japan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/tdr-tokyo-disneyland-space-mountain-earthrise-model-d23-4-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1473052\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tokyo Disneyland recently revealed the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wdwnt.com\/2026\/08\/first-look-at-new-space-mountain-lighting-at-tokyo-disneyland-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" aria-describedby=\"external-link-warning\">name of the attraction<\/a>, which is part of a bold reimagining of Tomorrowland and a sizable investment of \u00a5100 billion. The entire refurbished and expanded area will open in 2027.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Space Mountain Earthrise, the signature attraction of Tomorrowland, will retain the previous version\u2019s concept as an indoor coaster but will be completely transformed. The \u201cEarthrise\u201d in Space Mountain Earthrise refers to the sight of Earth from space as it rises from beyond the Moon\u2019s surface, just as the Sun rises from the horizon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Space Mountain Earthrise will take guests on a journey through outer space, featuring brand new architecture and a newly developed ride system that combines imaginative storytelling and immersive theatrical effects inspired by the wonders of space.
