While Tokyo says it has ample crude reserves, analysts warn the more immediate vulnerability is liquefied natural gas (LNG), which is used to generate electricity in Japan’s major cities and is harder to store in large volumes.

That matters more as temperatures rise and demand for air conditioning begins to climb.

Japan is hoping further US-Iran talks will ease tensions in the Middle East and help reopen the Strait…

[2
923,1733,6664,6661,8,6662,6663,6665,449,358,446,4413,2144,6666,1203
post-7447","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-japan","tag-australia","tag-fujitsu","tag-hiroo-ichikawa","tag-isesaki","tag-japan","tag-jun-yamada","tag-malaysia","tag-meiji-university","tag-middle-east","tag-sanae-takaichi","tag-strait-of-hormuz","tag-us-iran-talks","tag-world-war-ii","tag-yahoo-news","tag-yen
["GET
