Two international Space Mountain attractions were highlighted at D23\u2019s Disney Experiences Showcase on Saturday night. \u00a0Fans got a brand new look at what they\u2019ll experience when the all-new Space Mountain Earthrise opens next year at Tokyo Disneyland. \u00a0And over in Disneyland Paris, that park\u2019s unique Space Mountain will restore and refresh its original Jules Verne-inspired theme. Here\u2019s what we learned:\u00a0<\/p>\n

D23: THE ULTIMATE DISNEY FAN EVENT \u2014 DISNEY EXPERIENCES SHOWCASE
\nTokyo Disneyland\u2019s all-new Space Mountain Earthrise will be an out-of-this-world thrill!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tokyo Disneyland\u2018s brand new Space Mountain will officially be called \u201cSpace Mountain Earthrise.\u201d \u00a0The state-of-the-art attraction replaces the park\u2019s original Space Mountain from the ground up and will take riders on a thrilling journey through the cosmos, letting them experience the \u201cwonder of Earth\u201d like never before. \u00a0Below, the attraction\u2019s brand new logo:<\/p>\n

Disneyland Paris restores Space Mountain\u2019s Jules Verne-inspired experience<\/p>\n

While Tokyo Disneyland debuts an all-new take on the classic Space Mountain, Disneyland Paris\u2019 Space Mountain is going back to its roots. \u00a0The Disneyland Paris version of Space Mountain opened in 1995 and was based on the Jules Verne classic \u201cFrom the Earth to the Moon.\u201d \u00a0The attraction was relaunched with a \u201cMission 2\u201d version in 2005, and then received the Star Wars-themed Hyperspace Mountain overlay in 2017. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Hyperspace Mountain will close in 2027. \u00a0When the attraction reopens, the attraction\u2019s original name and theme, Space Mountain: De La Terre a la Lune will return, with upgraded special effects and a refreshed experience based on the classic version of this unique Disneyland Paris attraction. \u00a0Fans will be delighted to know the ride\u2019s original custom score will return as well!\u00a0<\/p>\n

So which version of Space Mountain are you most excited for? \u00a0Tokyo Disneyland\u2019s all-new, modern twist on the classic outerspace rollercoaster? Or Disneyland Paris\u2019 restored Jules Verne twist on the thrill ride? \u00a0Either way, it looks like Disney fans have two excellent international versions of Space Mountain on the horizon!\u00a0<\/p>\n
