Piyush Goyal<\/a>, is visiting Japan from August 24 to 27. It includes more than 200 business leaders and industry representatives, making it India’s largest-ever business delegation to Japan.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe four-day mission will cover Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. The delegation is expected to conduct more than 200 business-to-business meetings, along with networking sessions and around 15 site visits.<\/p>\n
\n\tVij said some MoUs have already been finalized, while additional agreements could be announced during or after the visit.<\/p>\n
\n\tShe says, “By the time this mission concludes, you will definitely see MoU signings. Some MoUs have already been finalized, and more may emerge during and after the visit”.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe site visits are also expected to give Indian companies a closer look at Japanese manufacturing capabilities, technologies and innovation centers. These interactions could help businesses identify opportunities for technology partnerships and investment.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe mission also includes several Indian startups. Their participation is aimed at helping them understand Japan’s innovation ecosystem and explore potential partnerships with Japanese companies.<\/p>\n
\n\tVij said the startup participation could open new opportunities as Indian and Japanese businesses look for areas of mutual interest.<\/p>\n
\n\tAlongside business meetings, Goyal is scheduled to meet senior Japanese CEOs and industry leaders. The discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral engagement and understanding the priorities of Japanese businesses.<\/p>\n
\n\tVij says, “The objective is to understand how engagement can be deepened further and to address their specific priorities and perspectives”.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe visit comes as India and Japan seek to expand trade and investment ties under their Special Strategic and Global Partnership.
