He had been a free agent since leaving Levante on 30 June and was immediately introduced to his new teammates.<\/p>\n<p class=\"v-d-p\" style=\"\">According to Funes, Mart\u00ednez arrived in good physical condition despite not completing a conventional pre-season. He&#8217;ll likely be included in the squad for Monday\u2019s match at La Rosaleda, featuring, if necessary, off the bench.<\/p>\n<p class=\"v-d-p\" style=\"\">That&#8217;s because Mart\u00ednez still needs time to adapt to Funes\u2019s playing style and build the necessary understanding with his colleagues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"v-d-p\" style=\"\">The new man will supplement the 22 players selected for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surinenglish.com\/sport\/malagacf\/malaga-cfs-dream-liga-return-ends-late-20260820105225-nt.html\" target=\"_self\" data-voc-vtm-id=\"in-text-traffic\" data-mrf-link=\"www.surinenglish.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Wednesday\u2019s 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid<\/a>. In a positive development, goalkeeper and captain Alfonso Herrero has returned to full training after an individual session on Friday, Funes said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"v-d-p\" style=\"\"> However, Aaron Ochoa, Adri\u00e1n Ni\u00f1o, Fernando Calero, Moussa and Diego Murillo continue their respective injury recoveries and will miss the match.<\/p>\n<p>\nJuanpe heads to Japan\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"v-d-p\" style=\"\">Meanwhile, Juanpe completed his departure from Malaga and signed for Japanese club Gamba Osaka.
