{"id":80416,"date":"2026-08-26T07:11:20","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T07:11:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/japan\/80416\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T07:11:20","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T07:11:20","slug":"mamenori-lviv-japanese-asian-restaurant-designed-by-replus-bureau","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/japan\/80416\/","title":{"rendered":"MAMENORI Lviv Japanese Asian Restaurant Designed by Replus Bureau"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ukraine design studio, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.we-heart.com\/tag\/replus-bureau\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Replus Bureau<\/a>, has completed a new Asian restaurant in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.we-heart.com\/tag\/lviv\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lviv<\/a>, taking a contemporary approach to Japanese influence through materials, construction and craftsmanship rather than decorative references.<\/p>\n<p>The interior draws on the character of a Japanese street caf\u00e9, combining clean lines and controlled proportions with raw textures, resulting in a space that balances order with a less polished, more expressive material palette.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/japan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/mamenorilviv7.jpg\" alt=\"MAMENORI Lviv Japanese Asian Restaurant Designed by Replus Bureau\" class=\"lazyload\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Materials and construction systems that would usually be concealed have been made part of the design. Drywall framing profiles, industrial aluminium and machine-frame profiles appear throughout, with the bar constructed from machine profiles and lighting systems deliberately left exposed above the bar and banquet seating. Terracotta masonry blocks are also left visible, making their texture part of the interior.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRather than adding layers of decoration, we wanted to reveal what is already there,\u201d says Kris Badzyan of Replus Bureau. \u201cThe building process itself became part of the design language. Materials that are usually considered technical or unfinished can have their own aesthetic value when they are used with intention.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Custom chairs and tables combine birch plywood, stainless steel and powder-coated steel, while hand-painted artwork adds a more personal element. Off-grade ceramic tiles have been manually chipped and arranged irregularly, turning variations in the material into part of the design.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/japan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/mamenorilviv2.jpg\" alt=\"MAMENORI Lviv Japanese Asian Restaurant Designed by Replus Bureau\" class=\"lazyload\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The approach also reflects the studio\u2019s focus on material reuse.
