{"id":83808,"date":"2026-09-01T13:03:16","date_gmt":"2026-09-01T13:03:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/japan\/83808\/"},"modified":"2026-09-01T13:03:16","modified_gmt":"2026-09-01T13:03:16","slug":"wax-london-launches-adds-japanese-selvedge-denim-for-aw26-launches-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/japan\/83808\/","title":{"rendered":"Wax London launches adds Japanese selvedge denim for AW26, launches campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n                                    Published<br \/>\n                                    <\/p>\n<p>                                        September 1, 2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-content col-md-8 offset-md-1\">\n                                UK menswear brand Wax London may be making strong inroads into the US market (a standalone debut store is hinted at and third-party connections are going \u201cvery well\u201d), but it knows where its heart is.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"news-image\" style=\"width:100%;max-width:726px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/japan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/9bdd.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"1280\" fetchpriority=\"high\"\/> Wax London<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-md-8 offset-md-1 article-content--texte\">So while its just-launched AW26 collection is called\u00a0 &#8216;Bridging the Divide\u2019, the release of the first of two drops is called &#8216;An <a class=\"fnwAddLinks\" href=\"https:\/\/us.fashionnetwork.com\/tags-ode\" title=\"Ode\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ode<\/a> to London&#8217; , inspired by English poet William Wordsworth&#8217;s &#8216;Composed upon Westminster Bridge\u2019, that it said is \u201ca love letter to the city written in 1802 that still rings true today\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The accompanying campaign is set against \u201ccity skylines, hidden gems and the spots locals love,\u2026 our own tribute to the collection and the city we call home\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-md-8 offset-md-1 article-content--texte\">The collection \u201cbrings a sharper, more considered approach\u201d to the Wax London wardrobe and \u201cthe contrasting influences that have become central to the brand\u2019s wardrobe: heritage-inspired styles injected with modern design showcased across workwear, soft tailoring, textured knits, clean jersey, and familiar Wax silhouettes refreshed in new fabrics and colourways\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also a collection \u201cbuilt around opposites \u2014 old meets new\u201d. That means workwear with Mod style, \u201copulence against grunge, texture balancing plains\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Denim \u201ctakes another leap forward\u201d this season, with a focus on both fabric and craft. The new Ramsdale barrel jeans are designed to pair with the Healey Chore jacket.<\/p>\n<p>But the \u201cmost exciting development\u201d is Japanese selvedge denim, a first for the brand, in their Felix silhouette.<\/p>\n<p>A key new addition to the brand\u2019s fabric line-up is double-faced cloth &#8211; its construction gives a dynamic visual distinction: check on one side and plain on the other. This fabric has been used for the Hamblin and Stan coats.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Jersey and sweats continue to grow, with new stripe rugby shirts, long-sleeve Henleys and tees and seasonal colours in core sweat styles.<\/p>\n<p>This season&#8217;s trouser collection is also claimed to be its \u201cstrongest to date\u201d- offering a full wardrobe of styles and silhouettes.
