{"id":85613,"date":"2026-09-03T23:00:12","date_gmt":"2026-09-03T23:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/japan\/85613\/"},"modified":"2026-09-03T23:00:12","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T23:00:12","slug":"this-japanese-company-made-money-on-ethereum-solana-and-xrp-but-sold-them-anyway-to-keep-its-121-million-bitcoin-holdings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/japan\/85613\/","title":{"rendered":"This Japanese company made money on Ethereum, Solana, and XRP, but sold them anyway to keep its $121 million Bitcoin holdings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Remixpoint sold all of its <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/ethereum\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ethereum<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/solana\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Solana<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/xrp\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">XRP<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/dogecoin\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dogecoin<\/a> holdings, leaving <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/bitcoin\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bitcoin<\/a> as its only cryptocurrency asset.<\/p>\n<p>The Japanese company generated \u00a5878.8 million, or about $5.5 million, from the Sept. 1 sales and booked a net gain of about \u00a5117.8 million, or roughly $737,000, according to a regulatory <a href=\"https:\/\/contents.xj-storage.jp\/xcontents\/AS08938\/e11a3c77\/3bce\/4b01\/a120\/fb85711a2458\/140120260901530316.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">filing<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Remixpoint sold 901.45 ETH, 13,920 SOL, 1.19 million XRP, and 2.8 million DOGE. Ethereum generated the largest realized gain at \u00a560.2 million, or about $377,000, followed by Solana at \u00a549.3 million, or more than $300,000, and XRP at \u00a511.5 million, or about $72,000. Dogecoin produced a \u00a53.3 million loss, or roughly $21,000.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload aligncenter wp-image-560163\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/japan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/exec-9e8b1ec5-fbd9-4bbc-b6a0-3d07b4d0cd9b.png\" alt=\"This Japanese company made money on Ethereum, Solana, and XRP, but sold them anyway to keep its $121 million Bitcoin holdings\" width=\"720\" height=\"1080\"  data-\/><\/p>\n<p>The disposals leave Remixpoint with a <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/why-bitcoins-2b-corporate-treasuries-are-a-ticking-time-bomb-of-hidden-conditional-supply\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bitcoin-only digital-asset treasury<\/a>. Its live treasury <a href=\"https:\/\/www.remixpoint.co.jp\/digital-asset\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">page<\/a> showed about 1,506.23 BTC as of Sept. 3, worth roughly $121 million at current prices.<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin Treasuries <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcointreasuries.net\/public-companies\/remixpoint\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">data<\/a> shows the company has added about 90 BTC to its holdings this year. Remixpoint has been increasing its BTC position even as it moved to eliminate exposure to other major cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/metaplanet-burned-through-83-of-a-500-million-credit-line-to-build-43000-btc-and-now-it-wants-investors-to-fund-the-next-leg\/\" class=\"cs-article-embed__link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><\/p>\n<p> Related ReadingMetaplanet burned through 83% of a $500 million credit line to build 43,000 BTC, and now it wants investors to fund the next leg<\/p>\n<p>    <\/a><\/p>\n<p>The company did not say the \u00a5878.8 million raised from the sales would be used to buy more Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, it left the proceeds available for several corporate priorities, including expansion into grid-scale battery storage, strengthening its balance sheet and other measures aimed at increasing shareholder value.<\/p>\n<p>Remixpoint said it considered market conditions, the risk-return profile of each asset and its broader financial strategy before deciding to concentrate its remaining <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/bitcoin-keeps-whipsawing-around-77000-and-etf-investors-are-doing-the-same\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">crypto exposure in Bitcoin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The sale came after the company had also generated income from some of the assets it exited.
