Jennifer Aniston has spent decades cementing herself as thee hair muse \u2013 from ‘The Rachel<\/a>‘ to her famously glossy, face-framing layers \u2013 but her latest beauty move has officially put her on nail-muse duty, too. Honestly, is there anything this woman can’t do?<\/p>\n

The look in question came to us on 2 September, when the actor was spotted filming for The Morning Show in Times Square, New York City. Her nails? Short, natural and buffed to a healthy-looking sheen. So, in other words, very Jen An.<\/p>\n

Enter: the Japanese manicure<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, unlike your standard polish or gel appointment, this centuries-old Japanese technique is less about adding colour and more about making your actual nails look ridiculously good. The nails are shaped, the cuticles tidied, and the surface gently buffed before a mineral-rich paste and powder are worked into the nail. <\/p>\n

Now, because there’s no UV lamp, gel or elaborate nail art involved, it’s surprisingly easy to recreate at home. Invest in a decent nail-care kit with a buffer, cuticle tools and nail oil<\/a>, and you can give yourself the same glossy set without booking an appointment. Sold? I thought as much!<\/p>\n

And the timing for its rise in popularity could not be better. With the UK’s new TPO restrictions<\/a> coming into effect in August, manicure devotees are increasingly looking towards lower-maintenance, nail-health-conscious alternatives. (Though, to be clear: gel manis themselves haven’t been banned; the rules target TPO, a photoinitiator used in some gel products.)<\/p>\n
