Busan’s waterfront will come alive this summer as the 2026 North Port Ocean SUP Festa returns from July 31 to August 9, bringing 10 days of stand-up paddleboarding, live music, outdoor movies, water sports, and family-friendly entertainment to the North Port Waterfront Park.

Now in its second year, the free festival transforms the redeveloped North Port into one of Busan’s largest urban summer destinations.

Daily programs run from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., with three themed zones dedicated to marine leisure, cultural performances, and food and market experiences.

Visitors can try stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) along the waterfront canal, enjoy moon boats, UFO boats, water bicycles, and Hobie kayaks, or let younger visitors experience the new Kids SUP Pool.

The festival also features sunset picnic areas, DJ performances, jazz, indie bands, fusion Korean music, evening busking, illuminated waterfront installations, food trucks, flea markets, and craft workshops.

Special events include a 3-kilometer Luminous Run, a water-themed HumSUP Show, a public meditation program, and an outdoor screening of the award-winning film Once.

The official opening ceremony takes place on August 1 at 6 p.m., followed by a special performance from singer and actor Lee Seung-gi.
