Police have launched a search and seizure operation to determine the cause of a fire at the Coupang Fulfillment Center 32 in Seohae-gu, Incheon.

According to police on the 30th, the “Seongnam-dong Coupang Logistics Center Fire Investigation Team” of the Incheon Police Agency conducted the search and seizure at a Coupang office near the logistics center at around 10 a.m. that day. Police plan to deploy some 30 investigators to secure the original CCTV footage that includes scenes from the time of the fire.

No one has been booked in connection with the fire so far. Police stated in the search and seizure warrant that the purpose was to confirm allegations including arson and accidental fire.

Earlier, a fire broke out at the Coupang Fulfillment Center 32 in Seongnam-dong, Seohae-gu, Incheon, at around 6:54 a.m. on the 18th of this month, and was brought under initial control after some 61 hours. Police and fire authorities presume that the fire started from goods stored on the third tier of a shelf on the sixth floor of the logistics center.
