The program is designed as an experiential cultural tourism offering that goes beyond watching a performance from the audience. It lets visitors see firsthand how a production comes together behind the stage and how a theater operates behind the scenes.
The tour begins with an introduction to the history of Seoul and the spatial meaning embedded in the architecture of Sejong Center for the Performing Arts. It then takes participants through the main theater’s seats and stage, where major Sejong Season productions have been performed, as well as the backstage areas and rehearsal rooms of the artistic companies, which are not usually open to the public.
Participants can observe where artists and production staff rehearse and prepare before a performance reaches the stage, gaining a more layered understanding of the production process and theater operations.
