What BTS fans need to know before group’s first-ever Gillette Stadium concerts
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. —
Tens of thousands of BTS fans are expected to head to Gillette Stadium on Wednesday and Thursday for the K-pop group’s first performances in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and stadium officials are urging fans to plan ahead for traffic.
The two concerts are part of a world tour that began in April in South Korea. Promoters say the 80-show tour will be the “biggest K-pop tour of all time.”
According to LiveNation, the tour features an “immersive,” 360-degree round stage.
Parking lots at the stadium will open at 4 p.m. on both nights and stadium gates will open at 5:30 p.m. The shows are both scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
Traffic and parking tips
As the stadium points out, traffic for these concerts will coincide with weekday commuter traffic and restrictions will be in place on local roads. Fans are being encouraged to allow plenty of time to reach the stadium.
“Fans must use I-95, I-495 or Route 140 to access Route 1 and Gillette Stadium,” organizers wrote in a statement.”
General parking is located on the opposite side of Route 1 from the stadium and is included in the price of the event ticket. Lots on the stadium side of Route 1 are sold out for the shows. Parking lots will open at 4 p.m.
Rideshare drop-off and pick-up are assigned to Lot 15 near Bass Pro Shops while a taxi stand is located in Lot 5B on the east side of the stadium.
