LG Electronics is running a promotion that halves the subscription fee for its stand-type TV product “StanbyME2” for large TV subscribers starting the 1st of this month, the company said on the 7th.

Consumers who subscribe to any of 20 large TV models at 431 Best Shop stores nationwide can additionally subscribe to the StanbyME2 “27LX6TPGA” model at a 50% lower price. The eligible models include 65-, 77-, and 83-inch OLED sets; 75-, 86-, and 100-inch Micro RGB (red, green, blue) sets; and 75- and 86-inch Mini RGB sets.

The StanbyME2 features a stand with wheels, allowing users to freely move it around indoor spaces such as the living room and bedroom while watching TV. LG Electronics (066570.KS) provides up to six years of free after-sales service (A/S) as well as removal and reinstallation services when a TV is used through subscription.

“The number of households watching video content on two or more devices in one home has sharply increased, with family members using individual screens in their rooms even when there is a large TV in the living room,” said Jeon Seung-eun, marketing lead at LG Electronics’ Media Entertainment Solution (MS) Business Division. “We prepared a value-packed TV subscription package so that customers can enjoy a richer viewing experience more comfortably through subscription.”
