Hundreds of fans lined the streets outside Central Park early Wednesday morning to watch YEONJUN of TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) make his solo debut on ABC’s Good Morning America Summer Concert Series.

Shortly after midnight, the streets leading up to Fifth Avenue and East 72nd Street were already packed with TXT fans, known as MOA, clutching lightsticks and waiting for a glimpse of the K-pop star ahead of his dawn performance. YEONJUN is now the second K-pop solo artist to perform as part of the summer concert series after JungKook of BTS.

This milestone was cemented after he debuted as a solo artist in November with NO LABELS: PART 01 followed by last month’s release of NO LABELS: PART 02, launching his most ambitious U.S. promotional run to date with appearances across television, radio, and major music festivals. The new album also hit No. 16 on the Billboard 200 while reaching No. 1 on the World Albums chart and No. 4 on Top Album Sales.

“Part two feels a lot more natural and unfiltered than part one, so I wanted to show another side of myself,” YEONJUN said during the broadcast.

Opening with “Vanilla,” YEONJUN took the stage wearing Miu Miu’s first-ever custom menswear look. Fans waved lightsticks, signs and photocards while cheering throughout the performance. Homemade signs reading “YEONJUN, your shine lights me,” “Latinas 4 YEONJUN” and “YEONJUN, can I be the mint to your chocolate?” played off the dessert theme of his latest album. This was followed by “Ice Cream,” “Talk to You,” and off-camera, “GGUM.”

“First of all, I’m so grateful, and I really enjoy that they all dance and do my challenge and enjoy my song,” YEONJUN said. “I’m so thankful, and I hope you guys enjoyed today’s performance too.”

Nineteen-year-old El Park traveled from Long Island wearing YEONJUN’s NO LABELS shorts under her jeans and a Hwang Choon plush headband, representing the singer’s PPULBATU fox character.

“I’ve been a fan of TXT for over six years. They’re my favorite group ever,” Park told amNewYork. “I even got my mom into them, so that’s why she came with me today. The concert was amazing. I can’t believe it was free. Hearing him perform live, his stage presence, even from the back, you could feel it. It was crazy. I’m really happy I got to see him. I love everything about TXT: their lore, their music and the chemistry they have together.”

The Good Morning America performance is just one stop in YEONJUN’s packed U.S. schedule. On Aug. 6, he performed at iHeartRadio’s Z100 Summer Bash in Manhattan before heading to Los Angeles for Billboard: One Night Only and KCON LA 2026. He will then reunite with TOMORROW X TOGETHER for the group’s headlining performance.

Close friends Angelina Laibhen and Alyhia Santos boarded the Long Island Rail Road at 3 a.m. to secure front-row spots.

“He is such a trendsetter,” said Laibhen, 20. “He is so talented. His voice is absolutely amazing. I love it when he raps. We didn’t even know we were going to get tickets, but when we found out, we called out of work just to be here. This is my first front-row experience at a K-pop show, and it was an amazing opportunity to see YEONJUN.”

“I’ve been a TXT fan since debut,” added Santos, 21. “YEONJUN is my bias. He’s amazing at everything he does. He’s funny, smart, an incredible singer, dancer, choreographer and songwriter.”

With high-profile appearances across some of the country’s biggest entertainment platforms, YEONJUN is working to carve out a distinct identity beyond TOMORROW X TOGETHER.
