LG Electronics is accelerating its push into Europe’s premium TV market with a special exhibition of its next-generation wireless wallpaper TV, the “LG Signature OLED W” (model W6), at Harrods, London’s quintessential luxury department store.

LG Electronics announced on August 10 that the special exhibition began on August 7 and runs through August 26, occupying the Brompton Road showcase windows that adorn the ground-floor exterior of Harrods. This space sits along one of London’s premier luxury shopping thoroughfares, drawing an average of approximately 1.1 million visitors per month, allowing passersby to experience the TV’s ultra-high-definition picture quality and ultra-slim design before even entering the store. The visitor flow has been designed so that products seen in the windows can also be explored at LG Electronics’ dedicated space inside the department store.

The exhibition was conceived to impress upon local customers the unrivaled technological prowess of LG OLED TVs, which have maintained the number-one global market position for 13 consecutive years since their world-first launch in 2013. The display concept aligns with Harrods’ summer season theme, “Golden Hour,” with the product staged under opulent amber lighting to achieve seamless harmony with the surrounding space.

The LG Signature OLED W features an all-in-one design that slims down every component—from the panel to the power board and speakers—achieving a thickness of just 0.9 centimeters, roughly the width of a pencil. It is also the world’s first TV to incorporate technology that wirelessly transmits high-definition 4K 165Hz video and audio without loss or latency, enabling smooth enjoyment of high-resolution content and gaming without complex cable connections to external devices. The “Zero Connect Box,” which connects peripheral devices such as set-top boxes and handles wireless transmission, is 35% smaller than those in previous wireless TVs. This technology has proven its differentiation by earning “True Wireless Lossless Vision” certification from global testing authority TÜV Rheinland.

The AI technology underpinning the high picture quality has also become significantly more powerful. The latest OLED picture and sound AI processor, the “3rd-gen Alpha 11 (α11 4K Gen3),” leverages neural processing unit (NPU) performance that is 5.6 times greater than its predecessor to maintain clean image quality even during rapid screen transitions. Graphics processing performance has also improved by 70%, rendering more natural and deeply dimensional visuals.

Furthermore, the product is equipped with ultra-low-reflection display technology that has earned the industry’s first Intertek “Reflection Free Premium” certification. This reduces light reflections by roughly half compared to conventional displays, even in the brightly lit showcase window environment, preserving perfect blacks and vivid color to maximize immersion.

This Harrods exhibition is being interpreted as a strategic move by LG Electronics to strengthen its brand prestige in the premium TV markets of the UK and broader Europe. By placing an ultra-premium product in an iconic luxury retail channel, the company aims to expand touchpoints with high-income consumers who value technological sophistication and design. As the global TV market shifts from quantitative growth to qualitative competition, LG Electronics plans to use this exhibition to emphasize the differentiated “wallpaper TV” form factor and its wireless technology leadership, solidifying its dominance in the premium segment.
