A poll showed on the 17th that President Lee Jae Myung’s support for state affairs was at its lowest level since taking office due to controversy over the real estate tax reform and remarks on abandoned bus youth housing.

This is the result of a survey of 2,511 people aged 18 or older nationwide from the 10th to the 14th at the request of the Energy Economy Newspaper by Realmeter.

President Lee’s positive assessment of state administration was 43.0 percent, down 0.3 percentage point from last week, and negative assessment was 54.1 percent, up 1.1 percentage points.

Negative assessments prevailed over positive assessments outside the margin of error for three consecutive weeks (±2.0%p at the 95% confidence level). The percentage of respondents who answered “don’t know well” was 2.9%.

Realmeter analyzed, “The confusion over the real estate tax reform plan and the public backlash against youth housing sparked by the controversy over the remarks on abandoned bus youth housing have accumulated policy confidence, leading to a drop in positive evaluation.”

All of these surveys were conducted in a wireless automatic response method. The sample error of the Presidential Support for State Administration survey was ±2.0%p at the 95% confidence level and the response rate was 4.0%.
