Top 1% ultra-high investors net purchased SK Hynix, Korea Electric Power Corp., Korea Kolmar, Alteogen and Samsung Electronics Co. on the afternoon of the 19th.

According to Mirae Asset Securities, SK Hynix was the top net buyer in the stock market at 2:30 p.m. that day.

As SK Hynix’s stock price plunged and fell to the early 1.5 million won range, ultra-high earners are believed to have started to buy at low prices.

Korea Electric Power Corp. ranked second in net purchases. In the aftermath of the earnings shock in the second quarter, Korea Electric Power Corporation’s stock price continued to decline, and low-priced buying seems to have flowed in amid a more than 30% adjustment compared to the beginning of the year.

Moon Kyung-won, a researcher at Meritz Securities, said, “Coal prices, which have soared since early March, are reflected in costs earlier than expected, and coal power generation costs rose 15% in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter.”

Hwang Sung-hyun, a researcher at Eugene Investment & Securities, said, “We believe that mid- to long-term investment points are still valid considering the normalization of the power generation mix following the end of new nuclear power plants and preventive maintenance in the second half of the year, and discussions on regional differential rate plans and electricity rate adjustments.”

Meanwhile, until this afternoon, TLB was the most net selling stock by ultra-high players.

It is interpreted that the profit-taking sale came out as TLB’s stock price rebounded nearly 70% from its low point recorded at the end of last month.
