Hyundai Group Chairwoman Hyun Jeong-eun has sent samgyetang, a Korean ginseng chicken soup, and beef-based health foods to 6,590 employees, the group said on the 20th.
The company said Hyun delivered about 40,000 servings of health food to the homes of Hyundai Group employees, including 5,469 in South Korea and 1,121 overseas.
In an accompanying letter, Hyun said, “I am deeply grateful to all of you who continue to fulfill your duties in your respective roles amid the relentless heat.” She added, “The company’s growth and our customers’ trust ultimately begin with the health of our employees.” She also expressed her thanks, saying, “Thanks to your dedication and effort, Hyundai Group continues to move forward steadily despite a difficult business environment and to achieve meaningful results at each of our business sites.”
The summer health food gift is part of an employee benefits program reflecting Hyun’s people-centered management philosophy, now in its 21st year.
A Hyundai Group official said, “Under the belief that a company’s sustainable competitiveness ultimately comes from its people, we will create an environment where members can work with greater enjoyment and grow together.” The official added, “We will continue to strengthen a workplace culture that is good to work in through various systems and programs.”
